Ted Worts was a castrator from Fenstanton before he became licensee of The Dolphin some time in the late 1880s. The winter of 1890/91 was particularly severe, the average temperature in East Anglia -1°C from November to January. The River Great Ouse froze, with up to nine inches of ice. Ted is picture with his son Ernest John Worts. Tradgedy hit the family in 1904, when both father and son died through seperate illnesses.
