The Black Bull, London Road, St Ives

The Black Bull was originally situated just outside St Ives, on the access road to St Ives bridge. It dates from the 1830s, offering more basic fare than the more genteel offerings of the White Horse & Dolphin Inn just up the road. Today it’s an Indian restaurant.

St Ivians remember:
Regular after hours lock-ins at the Black Bull.

Meeting place for illegal CB radio club & fox hunts on Sundays.

One drink, one bag of ready salted crisps to last hours and hours. Dad... "Won't be long girls. Behave or wait till you get home!"
